Recognising
the importance of social as well as health well being,
the Welfare Council grants monthly stipends to a number
of groups, including widow, the elderly and poor students
who have no other means of income.
|
|
There are currently no restrictions on when and who
can apply for the grant schemes. The Council seeks to
award these grants to the most able applicants as well
as the most in need. This is particularly so children
and young adults who may not get an opportunity to pursue
education otherwise are able to do so. Beside
students that attend schools and degree colleges, the
Council is providing financial help to the students
of professional colleges.
